HOMEWORK

Homework is sent home on Monday, and is due back the following Monday. Third graders are expected to do at least 20 minutes of reading and 15 to 25 minutes of other homework every school night.

Reading should be mostly chapter books at the appropriate reading level.

From the Math Homework Menu, students should do one problem a night, four per week. It is important to show their thinking, and helpful to try a variety of strategies.

The spelling pretest is also included in the homework folder on Monday, to help students prepare for the spelling quiz on Friday.

Have a Great Summer

I hope all of our (former) Room 28 families have a fun and safe summer.

I know it's too soon to think about August. But check the Laurelwood website for useful information to help you be ready for another great year, including a supply list for fourth grade.

Have a great summer!
