About Mrs. Mazzuco
I was born and raised in San Jose. I attended Seattle University and earned a BA in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Journalism. I also received a minor in Economics. I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at San Jose State University. I taught Kindergarten for the first 15 years of my teaching career. Five of those years have been at Laurelwood. This is my fourth year teaching 4th grade and I could not be happier!
I am extremely passionate about teaching children and am ready to challenge myself in new ways that keeps that passion energized. I love the 4th grade curriculum and cannot wait to share that love with my students.
I believe in showing students respect and compassion. I have a high level of expectation for my students and believe in their potential. I am a firm believer in growth mindset and helping children overcome challenges (learning is a process, not an outcome).
My husband and I live in Blossom Valley. I have a daughter in 8th grade and a son in 5th grade. Our family enjoys boating, golf, watching movies, swimming and a variety of sports. My daughter loves to dance. My son plays baseball and golf.
I'm a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and hoping to earn my black belt in Krav Maga at the beginning of 2023.
I love spending time with my family. I also love spending time with your children and helping them become amazing young people!
