Kindergarten Tours
For everyone's safety, in order to enter campus (i.e. cross over the blue lines that are painted at the various entrances), ALL visitors and volunteers must check in and out at the office and obtain a Volunteer Badge or Visitor's identification sticker EVERY TIME they enter campus, even if it is to quickly drop off a lunch, backpack, homework, book, or other item.

Laurelwood Kindergarten Dates To Note:
Kindergartners have a special DISMISSAL schedule for the first 15 school days as follows:
8/11/19 (Note date & time change) Kindergarten PARENT Orientation Meeting through Zoom at 6:00p.m.-6:30p.m (Parents are invited to join Dr. Lori Rogers, Principal, and Mr. Paul Fuller, Assistant Principal, on Zoom- GO TO the LW News announcement for more information)
8/12/21 First Day of School for Kindergartners = 8:15 a.m. – 9:55 a.m.
8/13/21 through 9/1/21 special Kindergarten Dismissal at 11:51am 9/2/21 (Thursday) Kindergarten FULL DAY schedule begins
8/31/21 Kindergarten Back-To-School Night (virtual) for Parents (BTSN) presentations start promptly at 6:40 p.m. through video conference links provided by your teacher. Please note that BTSN meetings are designed for ADULTS.

Please take note of the SPECIAL schedule for kindergarten students at the start of the school year.
Beginning on September 2, 2021, Kindergarten students will begin their FULL Day schedule as follows-
Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. = 8:15 a.m. – 2:10 p.m.
Wednesdays* & Minimum Day schedule = 8:15 a.m. – 1:21 p.m.
*Note that EVERY Wednesday is a Minimum Day

Preparing for Kindergarten
Many of you many be wondering what you can do to help make sure your precious little one is ready for the big step in to kindergarten. Please take some time to GO TO the list of things your child should know to make the beginning of kindergarten a breeze! Of course, we at Laurelwood always welcome all children and will meet them where they are and help them to get to the next step on their learning journey, but making sure your child knows these few things can help make the kindergarten experience a successful one from the very first day!
