Child Absent?

REPORTING ABSENCES

  • Do not feel well
  • Have a fever above 100° within last 24 hours (must remain fever-free for 24 hours, WITHOUT medication, before they are allowed to return to school)
  • Have vomited or had diarrhea within last 24 hours
  • Have severe cough or cold symptoms

 

The PREFERRED method for reporting your child's absence* is to GO TO the LW Electronic Absence Reporting Formcomplete the information, and submit the form electronically.

*If you know in advance that your child will be absent for 3 or more school days, in addition to reporting the absence as stated above, you also need to GO TO the SCUSD Absence Notification Form and submit a hard copy of the completed form to the office prior to the absence. 

If the electronic form is not working for your device, then you may call (408) 423-1605 to report your child's absence, BUT please be sure to

speak slowly & clearly and provide us with ALL of the following-

*your child's full name (spell last name)

*your child's room number and teacher's name

*reason for their absence

*your name and relationship to the child

Students may be dropped off on campus starting at        7:55 AM, and should arrive BEFORE the line-up bell rings at 8:12 AM.

Classes start promptly AT 8:15 AM

If your child has a morning appointment, be sure to bring a note from the doctor/dental office, so that your child's tardy can be excused.
